Levering Management Statement Regarding COVID-19

Mount Vernon, OH (March 15, 2020) –  In light of the COVID-19 situation, the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Department of Veterans Services issued a joint order to limit access to Ohio’s nursing facilities and senior living centers on March 11, 2020. It was then updated and clarified by Governor Mike DeWine on March 12th, specifically regarding the visitors’ policy.

Levering Management is complying with this order and is issuing this statement to inform the families of our nursing facilities and senior living facility. The facility management is taking these proactive steps in order to protect our residents and staff. The directives will apply to all of our facilities, including Country Court, Delaware Court, Marion Manor, Morrow Manor, The Living Center, and Winchester Terrace.

  1. We are restricting access to our facilities to only medically necessary personnel and supply company staff. We are not allowing visitors.
    1. Exempt visitors, subject to successful screening, include:
    2. facility staff
    3. medically necessary personnel
    4. supply company staff
    5. hospice care staff
    6. clergy members
    7. immediate family members of hospice care patients, over the age of 12
    8. Successful screening will require:
    9. temperature under 100.4℉
    10. no international travel within the last 30 days
    11. no exposure to a sick individual

All facilities will be required to keep a log of all who are admitted access.

  1. Because the care and well-being of our residents is paramount, we want to reassure families that our necessary food and supply shipments are coming as scheduled. For the time being, access to the dining room will not be available, and group activities will not be taking place. Individuals will be served meals in their rooms.
  2. Medications are also being delivered and distributed as directed by physicians.

Levering Management knows that this situation is fluid and we are keeping a close watch on any changes in directives from local, state, or federal governments. We are taking proactive steps above our already high standards of cleanliness to keep our residents and our staff safe.

This is a difficult time for everyone, but our staff is diligently working to provide care and comfort to your loved one. We are confident in their capabilities and want our families to share in that. We appreciate your patience during this time. As always, we are available to you if you have questions. Feel free to call the facility where your loved one resides. We will be happy to help you in any way we can.

For media questions or clarifications on this statement, please contact William Levering, CEO of Levering Management at 740-398-4560 or via email at bill@leveringmanagement.com.

K. S.

Asked when leaving KCH where i wanted to go for re-hab after hip surgery, i asked KCH if there was a place owned by the Levering family. My doctor asked why and I told him that the Levering family owned Morrow Manor in Chesterville. My Mother lived ther just a little over a year before she passed away and she LOVED being there. Everyone was so nice, friendly, caring, helpful and treated the residents like their own family. I saw it as did everyone who visited her. That was enough for me. Everyone here at Country Court is just the same loving and caring people at Morrow Manor. As far back as a childhood memory, Bruce Levering began in the health care business and his family has followed suite.

All the staff from the cleaning room crew those who got the residents cleaned up or showered, filled ice water and snacks, to those who delivered and picked up our food, those that just stopped in to chat, all the PT staff right on up to the wonderful nursing staff they have right up to the nurse practioner. Checking in and getting settled was so easy with everyone helping. My roomie was a real sweetheart and we shared many chuckles together. The worse part? Getting ready to leave. The nurses who helped get me ready shared hugs and even some tears with me. The reason I left so soon, my insurance booted me out! Actual leaving, my favorite nurse with the “south side of Mt. Vernon accent” hugged me and we cried a little, my roomie, too. So sad to leave new friends so fast.

Since I’ve been home getting PT, I’ve had 2 phone calls from Country Court to see how I was getting along. What more can be said. I loved being here and choose to come back if I ever need re-hab again.
